TODAY’S TOPIC: Social Responsibilty
QUESTION- Do creatives have a social responsibility?
BRIEF DESCRIPTION- Artists have been creating works that enhance the development of society for some time, many find it to be their purpose. In such a tumultuous time in the world, can creatives choose to create without conceptualizing a social impact? If the creative reflects their society, should they strive to create a society they would like to reflect?
Social Responsibility is an ethical framework and suggests that an entity, be it an organization or individual, has an obligation to act for the benefit of society at large.
Society: The aggregate of people living together in a more or less ordered community.
Responsibility: The state or fact of having a duty to deal with something. The state of fact of being accountable or to blame for something.
Representative: A person chose or appointed to act or speak for another or others, in particular.
