I look back at this piece and I often wish I would have felt confident enough to finish it on my own. At the moment I hid behind a friend because I didn’t fully feel confident in who I was as a mural painter. Even though the final product was beautiful and lead to years of a great partnership, it is clear to me that I was thinking of something. I just hadn’t figured out how to articulate the style I was hoping to bring.

I am glad I can look back at that version of myself and see so clearly what I was becoming. - MG
